1. 报告题目:Primal-Dual Fixed Point Methods for Optimization Problems

摘要:We will study primal-dual ?xed point methods for the least-squares problem regularized by lp-norms with p ∈ [1, ∞). Our methods and results extend some of Ribeiro and Richtarik (2018) and Silva, et al (2018) where the case of p = 2 (i.e, the ridge regression) is studied. The case of p = 1 corresponds to the lasso and the general case of p ∈ [1, ∞) corresponds to the iterative shrinkage/thresholding algorithm (ISTA) of Daubechies, et al. We will apply the proximal-gradient methods to prove convergence of our primal-dual ?xed point methods for the general lp-regularization, and also for the elastic net problem.

摘要:This talk consists of two parts. In the ?rst part, I will report some of my latest results on the gradient-projection algorithm by virtue of the averaged mapping approach, including an estimate of its sublinear rate of convergence. In the second part, I will extend the viscosity approximation method (VAM) to accretive operators  in a uniformly convex and/or uniformly Gateaux di?erentiable Banach space X to ?nd a zero of an m-accretive operator and of the sum of two m-accretive operators. In all cases the strong convergence of VAM algorithms is proved and the limit of the iterates is identi?ed as the unique sunny nonexpansive retraction onto to the zero set of the operator.


徐洪坤院士:杭州电子科技大学特聘教授。主要研究领域:非线性泛函分析、最优化理论和算法、巴拿赫空间几何理论,非线性映像迭代方法,反问题及其正则化方法,金融数学等。2004年荣获南非数学学会杰出研究奖和教育部自然科学二等奖(与徐宗本、蒋耀林共同获得);2005年当选南非科学院院士;2012年当选发展中世界科学院(最初称第三世界科学院,现更名为世界科学院)院士;2014-2018入选汤森路透/科睿唯安全球高被引学者,2019入选爱思唯尔中国高被引学者。已发表论文250余篇。现(曾)任近10种SCI期刊编委和FPTASE共同主编。20余次国际学术会议特邀(invited/keynote/plenary)报告。
